The manager also told TMZ that he doesn't think Spears should return to Las Vegas for another residency, despite being due to kick off her latest run of shows back in February. According to sources who spoke to TMZ about it, Spears reportedly told the judge she wishes to be freed from her conservatorship, and that her father, Jamie Spears, committed her to that mental health facility against her will.
Rudolph's assertion comes days after Spears appeared in court to speak with the judge overseeing her decade-long conservatorship.
Britney Spears's longtime manager Larry Rudolph says the singer may never perform again.
Spears manger Rudolph said, "as the person who guides her career and based on the information I was told she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency".
"I don't want her to work again 'till she's ready, physically, mentally and passionately".
'Kevin won't allow the boys to spend more time with their mother until Britney is once again stable and therapeutic on medication. She was excited. She hasn't called me in months.
"Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day", he said.
Larry Rudolph, in remarks to celebrity website TMZ, Variety and Entertainment Tonight, said the "Stronger" singer had not called him in months. "She clearly doesn't want to perform now", he said.
Her mother is now attempting to become the 37-year-old singer's conservator.
"Rudolph says that "[Britney] is the one whose focus is on on [getting better].
"Just checking in with all of you who are concerned about me".
Since 2008 Spears has been under a court-ordered conservatorship which does not allow her to make major financial or personal decisions without the approval of her father. At the same time, Rudolph says he's happy that Spears "is not thinking about her business and her career - she's dealing with these issues. And, if she ever does want to work again, I'm here to tell her if it's a good idea or a bad idea".
"Mr. Lutfi's actions have caused severe mental trauma at a time where Ms. Spears is recovering from stress related to her father's health and her work", the documents state.
"Functioning without medication isn't an option for her", the source adds. However, he is only given limited medical information that directly impacts her career.
