The profile photo of his account was changed to that of the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Mumbai Police said, "We have informed our cyber unit and Maharashtra Cyber about the hacked Twitter account of Amitabh Bachchan".
The hackers posted a tweet that read, "This is an important call to the whole world!" We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. While details are still fuzzy, we can confirm that a few minutes ago, late on Monday night, the Big B's Twitter account saw a lot of unusual activity, caused due to a malicious cyber attack. The Bollywood superstar has a staggering 37.4 million followers on the social networking site.
The pinned tweet on Bachchan's account claims responsibility on behalf of the "Ayyldz Tim Turkish Cyber Armny".
Paul Pogba could still return to Juventus despite financial issues
Harry Maguire is a transfer target for Manchester United despite Leicester's reluctance to sell, according to reports . On the other hand, Juventus are also linked with Inter's forward Mauro Icardi, according to Tuttosport.
The same group of hackers had also hacked the accounts of actors Shahid Kapoor and Anupam Kher in the past. "Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid", another tweet read. "Love Pakistan." The hackers also changed the display picture of Bachchan to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. The bio of the Twitter profile says, "Love Pakistan", with a red colour Pak flag. The hackers also asked for support.
These pro-Pakistani tweets from Amitabh Bachchan's accounts are even more ironic considering he recently rejected a role simply because he would have had to portray a Pakistani man.
A Mumbai Police spokesperson told news agency PTI that its cybercrime unit is investigating the hack.
