It got kinda buried under bigger news at Microsoft's E3 press conference, but there's a new Lego Star Wars game coming, one that covers the events of, oh, nine movies.
If all goes as planned, LEGO Star Wars fans will have a bevy of content on their plates. "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will bring to life all those Star Wars adventures remembered and undiscovered in an epic culmination of all nine saga films as fans celebrate the closing of this chapter in Star Wars". The sheer amount of playable experiences won't stop there, either. Players can jump to lightspeed in the Millennium Falcon to outrun Imperial starships, battle First Order TIE fighters in Resistance X-Wings, or podrace on Tatooine.
Friends and family can dive right into their favourite saga film and play through memorable Star Wars™ moments, reimagined with LEGO® fun and humour. For instance, those who want to kick things off with the original trilogy's Star Wars: A New Hope can do so.
Fallen Order centers around one of the Jedi Order's newest (and last) recruits: Cal Kestis (voiced by Gotham's Cameron Monaghan) a Jedi-in-training who managed to escape Order 66. Said TT Games' Managing Director, Tom Stone, the studio's intent is to give fans of the franchise "complete freedom to explore the LEGO Star Wars galaxy".
Florida motorcyclist gets hit by lightning and dies in crash
His name has not yet been released. "Unfortunately he did not survive the crash", read the caption posted alongside the tweet. A motorcyclist died in Florida after he was struck by lightning and crashed on a major highway, authorities said.
Luckily for me, I never got into those other Lego games after the second Lego Star Wars games, so I'll be looking at this new one through a lens of nostalgia rather than exhaustion.
It's exciting to see a new Lego Star Wars game!
No official release date has been announced, but you can look for it to come out in 2020 on Xbox, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
