Biden unveils $5 trillion plan for climate change 'revolution'

Compounding the gaffe, the Carbon Capture Coalition's membership includes the country's largest fossil fuel companies - not such unusual bedfellows for Biden, who received a "D-" grade from Greenpeace last week largely due to his lack of environmental policy, but less than ideal for a candidate trying to reinvent himself as "green".

"Membership of the Carbon Capture Coalition, where some of Biden's language seems to have originated, includes Shell, Peabody Energy, Arch Coal, and Cloud Peak Energy".

"This is an issue of damage and pain today, and I've seen that from the people whose homes burned down in Seminole Springs, California, to the people whose nonprofits were flooded in Davenport, California". "It's like his team copied off of his competitors, using all the same keywords ('environmental justice, ' "Green New Deal") but with less substance". "That's why I'm calling for a clean energy revolution to confront this crisis and do what America does best - solve big problems with big ideas".

Some of Biden's Democratic rivals, including Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, have taken tougher stances on climate change by fully endorsing the Green New Deal. This ain't a #NoFossilFuelMoney pledge.
