Mariners' Mitch Haniger sidelined by testicular contusion

According to a report from Major League Baseball reporter Greg Johns, Mitch Haniger was set to go on the 10-day IL with testicular contusion after hitting himself with foul ball yesterday.

Haniger suffered the injury when he fouled a pitch off himself against the Houston Astros on Thursday. He remained in the game following the incident.

Marco Gonzales earned his first victory since April 25 as the Seattle Mariners defeated the host Los Angeles Angels 6-2 Friday night in Anaheim, Calif. His.220/.314/.463 line is a far cry from the numbers he put up in a breakout year last season, .285/.366/.493, although he does have 15 home runs and 32 RBI. Three bases on balls contributed to that total.

Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger suffered a pretty gruesome injury Thursday. Braden Bishop landed on the injured list due to a lacerated spleen sustained when he was hit by a pitch in the minors.

Bethesda says its Orion technology improves game streaming
Stadia, Google's ambitious streaming service, launches in November, and Microsoft is preparing xCloud for prime time. Orion is meant to be integrated into game engines to make this magic happen.

This is an injury you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy.

Servais did not have a timetable for Haniger's recovery but said "I can't imagine he's going to be doing anything for a couple weeks". He walked three and struck out five.

The Angels rocked Gonzalez for 10 runs in 4 2/3 innings during a 13-3 win on Sunday.

Those tests confirmed Haniger's stint on the sidelines, as the Mariners called up reliever Tayler Scott from Triple-A affiliate Tacoma Rainiers. C Dustin Garneau was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
